Far East Holds Grand Culture Event to Celebrate Traditional Chinese Arts
On December 21, 2016, “Add Splendor with Splash-ink Painting and Set Sail to the Ocean of the Art —2017 Far East Cultural Orientation Forum”, hosted by the Far East Holding Group Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu Association of Collectors, was held in Far East Reclusive Island, the place with a thousand years of culture in Yixing. Famous calligraphers, painters and purple clay teapot craftsmen in China were invited to participate in the cultural event, such as Xu Huping, former Director of Nanjing Museum and President of Jiangsu Association of Collectors, Chen Xianming, famous painter and Professor of Nanjing University of the Arts, Ma Leping, Director of Beijing Guoboo Cultural Relics Identification Center, Shang Lin, Deputy Dean of China Sinology Institute and Dean of School of Traditional Chinese Painting and Calligraphy of China Sinology Institute, Chu Yun, Research Fellow of Central Research Institute of Culture and History, National Artist and famous painter and calligrapher, Ge Minghong, Executive Vice President of Yixing Clay Teapot Painting and Calligraphy Institute, and Ge Tao, National Craft Artists.

Four famous artists, i.e. Xu Huping, Ge Tao, Chen Xianming and Chu Yun made their speeches respectively. By quoting General Secretary Xi’s words of “The Fate of Art and Literature is Closely Linked to the Future of the Country, and The Context of Art and Literature is Closely Linked to the Lifeblood of the Country”, Xu Huping highly appreciated that the Far East is an enterprise with “real culture” and hoped that the Far East can make persistent efforts to build its culture and carry forward the culture of “harmony and flexibility” to inherit the traditional culture and achieve the goal of becoming a one-hundred-year-old enterprise. Ge Tao introduced the manufacturing technique of purple clay teapot, which is regarded as the intangible cultural heritage, and his perception of making teapots. Chen Xianming talked about his experience as a worker in the cable factory in the early years and exclaimed over the hard-earned success of Far East from entrepreneurship to the leading enterprise in the industry. Mr. Chen expressed his wish for the good development of the Far East with the work Spring Returns to the Earth and Everything Grows Vigorously. With years of experience of calligraphy learning, creation and teaching, Chu Yun shared his concept and secret about the calligraphy.

Artists donated their favorite works during the donation ceremony. Jiang Xipei, on behalf of the Foundation, accepted the works and issued Honorary Certificates for Donation to these artists. Xu Zhongfang, craftsman of purple clay teapot, gave a pair of “Richness and NobilityJade Rabbit Teapot” to Jiang Xipei and Chen Xiaofen as the present. Jiang Xipei appreciated the contribution of artists towards the charity, and said that the Foundation will live up to all the expectations and deal with concrete matters with the charity philosophy of “Five Creations” (i.e. innovation, excellence, wealth-made and happiness creation) to benefit the whole society!

Then Jiang Xipei issued the Letter of Appointment of President of Far East Painting and Calligraphy Institute to Hua Qianhong, National Artist and Member of Chinese Artists Association. On behalf of Far East Painting and Calligraphy Institute, Hua Qianhong issued the Letter of Appointment of Signing Calligrapher of Far East Painting and Calligraphy Institute to Lv Dongxu, discipleof Su Shishu, the member of China Calligraphers Association, and Member of Wuxi Calligraphers Association.

At the scene of the forum, artists created vigorous calligraphy, rich and graceful peony, purple clay teapot with an antique flavor and other works with their brushes, amazing the audience and becoming another interesting story of the Far East Reclusive Island!
